Why temporary tattoos are a festival favourite

It's fair to say that festival outfits have come a long way. Glitter? Obviously. Sunglasses? Duh. Those glittery pants you've been saving for just the right occasion? Absolutely. But to be fair. temporary tattoos deserve a spot on that list too.

We recently brought our temporary tattoos to Open Air Mölle Festival, and let's just say... people are never too old to get excited about a temporary tattoo.

Why are temporary tattoos great for festivals?
They're fun, easy to apply, fully customizable, and something people actually use instead of throwing away.

How long do they last?
Usually between 2-5 days, depending on placement and how much love (or shower time) they get.

Can I customize the designs?
Absolutely. Create one design, multiple tattoos on a sheet, or a whole collection for visitors to choose from.

How can I hand them out?
Give them away at your booth, include them with merch, or turn them into an activity with games, competitions, or a prize wheel.

Temporary tattoos, put to the test

We've been through this before. A temporary tattoo is basically just a sticker for your skin. But if you're curious to learn a little more about the product, luckily, we've got a whole article about it.

Our temporary tattoos have found a whole new way to bring designs to life. I mean, sure, a sticker might last longer. But a temporary tattoo creates a memory, a conversation, maybe even a little nostalgia. To put them to the test, we packed our car full of tattoos and headed to Open Air Mölle. We did the research, asked all the questions, and came back with the answers.

Spin the (tattoo) wheel!

And... how did we do it then? Well, even if a temporary tattoo kind of speaks for itself, we wanted to turn it into more of an activity. So naturally... a spin the wheel!

Our (insanely talented) graphic designer created a bunch of quirky designs, and whatever the wheel landed on, that's the tattoo you got. Of course, that led to people wanting the other one too. And if they didn't get their favorite on the first spin, they usually came back for another round.

The best part? It didn't matter if you were 8 or 80. Everyone wanted a tattoo. Safe to say, it was a real crowd-pleaser.

Takeaways

After the festival, I did a very comprehensive and definitely not made-up analysis. The result? Temporary tattoos + festivals = true. Jokes aside, it was genuinely fun to see how people reacted. Some came back for another tattoo, others just wanted to spin the wheel again. We definitely weren't complaining.

There are so many ways to make temporary tattoos part of your brand. A spin-the-wheel, a giveaway, a challenge... the list goes on. The ink is the limit!

So run, don't walk, and grab some temporary tattoos for your next event, festival, or party.
